NASA Meteorite Landings Dashboard

Jan 16, 2026 · 1 min read

Interactive data analysis and visualization of global meteorite landings using NASA’s open Meteorite Landings dataset, enabling spatial and temporal exploration of meteorite discovery patterns.

This project presents an interactive Power BI dashboard built on historical meteorite landing records spanning from year 860 to the present. The dashboard enables users to explore global geospatial distributions of meteorite landings, analyze long-term trends in discoveries, and compare the largest recorded meteorites by mass.

The project involved data cleaning and transformation to handle missing values and inconsistent historical records, followed by structured data modeling and visualization for scientific interpretation. This work demonstrates practical experience with real-world scientific datasets, geospatial analysis, and visualization-driven insight extraction.
